The winds of change are here. Windows 10 IoT Core for Rapberry Pi 2 and the MinnowBoard Max is here and how! It is a new edition for Windows, targeting small embedded devices with or without screens. The only prerequisites are Windows 10 (Build 10240) and Visual Studio 2015.
For, with screen devices, it comes with a Universal Windows app which you can write for the interface; else it comes with a Windows shell experience. This definitely make it easier to make professional devices and works with a whole lot of open source languaages.
Windows IoT Core also comes with much anticipated features, which include:
Updated based OS build
Improved GPIO performance on the Raspberry Pi 2
