Bridges present one of the most brilliant examples of structural engineering and other important pieces of infrastructure. Unlike the previously used hydraulic cylinder based listing methods, the new Rapid Bridge Replacement System gets installed over the rail tops, eliminating the need for beneath-rail modifications for nearby sections. The encased lift girder also behaves as a secure passageway for repair crews passing through the bridge. The system is capable of bearing weight up to 250 tons of weight permitting the complete bridge span segments to move in one go.
The lift system gets engaged mechanically and operates without the hydraulics or the cable drums bringing down the mechanical and maintenance failure to minimum. The best part, you can operate the system remotely keeping the complete crew as well as the operators from any harm. The system will work even during power failure leading to more stability and less injury chances. It can also be assembled in four or three shifts, the rigging components, on the other hand, can be transported over five ideally sized flatbed trucks that need no special permissions.
