Renesas Electronics Corporation, a supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, announced a new industrial microprocessor (MPU) that supports the EtherCAT communication protocol — achieving high-speed, accurate real-time control for industrial systems. The RZ/T2L MPU inherits the hardware architecture of its higher-end product, the RZ/T2M, and provides optimized solutions for the fast-growing EtherCAT communication market. The new…
Infineon offering industry’s highest density serial F-RAMs
Infineon Technologies has announced the commercial availability of what’s currently labeled as the industry’s highest-density serial F-RAMs — the company’s new 8- and 16-Mbit EXCELON F-RAM memories. The new EXCELON F-RAM (Ferroelectric RAM) memories address the non-volatile datalogging requirements of next-generation automotive and industrial systems to help prevent data loss in harsh operating environments. The…
Xilinx’s new Versal AI Edge ACAP series delivers AI-enabled intelligence
Xilinx, Inc., a provider in adaptive computing, has launched its Versal AI Edge series, designed to enable AI innovation from the edge to the endpoint. With four times the AI performance-per-watt versus GPUs and ten times greater compute density, compared to previous-generation adaptive SoCs, the Versal AI Edge series is currently the most scalable and…
8051 and 8051 Microcontroller
Intel Corporation fabricated the 8 – bit microcontroller which was referred as MCS-51 in 1981. This microcontroller was also referred as “system on a chip” because it has 128 bytes of RAM, 4Kbytes of ROM, 2 Timers, 1 Serial port, and four ports on a single chip. The CPU can work for only 8bits of data at a time because 8051 is an 8-bit processor.8051 microcontrollers use two different kinds of memory such as UV- EPROM, Flash and NV-RAM. Hence 8051 will not be seen in the part number even though it is the most popular member of the 8051 family. Atmel fabricated the flash ROM version of 8051 which is popularly known as AT89C51 (‘C’ in the part number indicates CMOS). The flash memory can erase the contents within seconds which is best for fast growth.
