Audio Transformer
Amazed by the electronic music of your favorite band? Mesmerized by the way suddenly an electric guitar goes as loud as the singer? Like most of know, there is an expert recording engineer present in the studio to make sure that music instruments and the voices make a perfect blend. A critical device that helps in creating this blend is an audio transformer. Works just like any other conventional transformer; audio transformers are designed to work at audio frequencies, i.e. between 20Hz to 20 KHz. interestingly, the initial need to design to such transformer was to enhance long distance voice communication. Now serving essentially for professional musicians, audio transformers stand as one electronic-audio component. This article will cover technical and applicative features of audio transformers explaining how they are different from the conventional counterparts
Audio Tone Control
Various audio tone control circuits have been developed since the evolution of electronic audio systems. Some are being developed as passive tone control and some are active. The difference between them lies in the amplification and attenuation of the signal. An audio tone control circuit with an amplifier integrated with it is called ACTIVE tone…
Controlling Audio Volume & Tone with a Remote Control
Here is the project of controlling audio volume and audio tone (bass and treble) with a remote control designed using microcontroller AT89S52.It is a mono audio controller and to make it stereo similar circuits have to be made for the both LEFT and RIGHT channels. I have not connected the components in a PCB…
Sound generation in audio range using 555 timer
This simple project can be used to generate sound which can be heard through a speaker or a buzzer by connecting either of them to its output. The idea is to [[wysiwyg_imageupload::]]generate a frequency in the audible range from a normal pulse generator. Using the circuit in a battery saving mode so that it can work for a longer duration is made possible by using a 555 IC. This IC is known to work in three different modes: bistable, astable and monostable, and can work efficiently in all three modes. Also, being casted in an integrated circuit format makes 555 a power efficient and it can be stretched to work for a longer duration. Read more to find out how the circuit is constructed and how it works.
