A Personal Desktop Assistant is a handheld device that functions as a personal information assistant and manager. It can function as a telephone, internet device with networking features and can handle a little bit of computing too. These have constantly evolved since the first PDA ‘Newton’ released by Apple and the famous ‘Communicator’ by Nokia. Presently, majority of the PDA’s that are shipped are smartphones which have added features like multimedia and internet capabilities and enhanced interface along with traditional voice.
