Tektronix, an industry-leading innovator of video test and monitoring solutions, has unveiled a comprehensive set of production tools to help the content creators minimise and manage this complexity at its source- the camera. The new solutions will be demonstrated at IBC 2017 this September.
With the mixed use of HDR (High Dynamic Range) and SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) cameras, while using traditional waveform monitors, the different trace levels of the same luminance levels forces operators to do a lot of guess work as they are required to balance the cameras.
Due to the high cost of setup and luminance levels in studios, displays are required that offer measurements and levels having a direct correlation to the relative light levels. As a software-based platform, PRISM offers a range of options and field-installable upgrades for monitoring hybrid IP/SDI networks among many other applications.

With the addition of the new 4K/WCG/HDR toolset, PRISM now becomes a comprehensive production solution specifically designed to address multi-format and multi-standard challenges. It is the ideal HDR and WCG solution for camera acquisition in OB Vans and production studios.
Availability
Available in 3RU half-rack, 1RU full-rack and standalone configurations, the PRISM platform along with the new production toolset will be available at the end of September.
