In today’s greenhouses, many parameter measurements are required to monitor and control for the good quality and productivity of plants. But to get the desired results there are some very important factors which come into play like Temperature, Humidity, Light and Water, which are necessary for a better plant growth. Keeping these parameters in mind I have built an Automatic Green House Controlling and Monitoring System over GSM module using Arduino. This system is very efficient for growing good quality plants. The other important part of this project is that it is fully automatic. Arduino automatically turns on and turn offs the appliances.

In present times increasing Traffic is adding to the big woes of developing cities. The main roads are packed with vehicular traffic on each and every road or a traffic signal (Intersection Points). One comes across the common problem of traffic jams on almost all Traffic Junctions which is even critical if you go to big cities. A lot of time, energies besides precious fuel is wasted just because of these Traffic Jams on the roads.To solve this problem Traffic Cameras are used over Traffic Intersection points. Traffic Cameras capture the image of vehicles in traffic and sends to MATLAB. Here in this project Traffic Surveillance System is demonstrated by way of how the traffic could be controlled over traffic intersection points from the Traffic Control Room. This is a very effective system for Traffic Surveillance.
In the days of technology postman still comes to our house for delivering the letters, couriers and parcels. Because some things like courier, parcels can’t sends via email and by using any other electronic media. So for getting notification of our letter delivery in our mail box here we design an intelligent mail/letter box,which provides notification of delivery of letters in our mail box via message to our mobile phones.In this system an IR pair is used for sensing incoming letter in mail box and a GSM module for sending message to our phone. And a 16×2 LCD display for displaying time and letter box status (empty or not), delivery time, date and a real time clock circuit also is used in this system
The working of this security system is very simple as well.Here a PIR sensor is used for sensing and then arduino used for controlling and then A GSM module which is used for calling purpose. When anybody comes in range of PIR sensor, then sensor sends a logic signal to Arduino board which control and perform the specified task. Here arduino board sends signals to GSM module and gives a call on a set number.
The sim card interfaces consists of the series of the impedance matching circuits as we see there are six pins and there are eight pins some of the sim’s. The termination resistor has a value of 1- 10k ohm for data line & reset line and here we have 1-2k ohm for the clk line.we here build the circuits as per the pin requirements as we see i have connected the crystal oscillator for the clk pin and the requirement is calculated Vsim pin is connected to the DTR of rs232 terminal, then the clk is to the crystal oscillator,these data lines simdata and Vsim terminalthe the RTS of rs232 is connected to the simrst pin ,the circuit shows almost all the pins covered this is done without using any other ic. The chip is all integrated to the single cable usb line which has max 232 which converts the TTL logic to the computer logic.
GSM stands for Global System for Mobile Communications. It is a standard set developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) to describe protocols for second generation (2G) digital cellular networks used by mobile phones. A Modem is a device which modulates and demodulates signals as required to meet the communication requirements .It modulates an analog carrier signal to encode digital information, and also demodulates such a carrier signal to decode the transmitted information. A GSM Modem is a device that modulates and demodulates the GSM signals and in this particular case 2G signals. The modem we are using is SIMCOM SIM300. It is a Tri-band GSM/GPRS Modem as it can detect and operate at three frequencies (EGSM 900 MHz, DCS 1800 MHz and PCS1900 Mhz). Default operating frequencies are EGSM 900MHz and DCS 1800MHz.Sim300 is a widely used in many projects and hence many variants of development boards for this have been developed.
There is no other tool available which helps in easy prototyping like the Arduino does. The arduino board has all the required circuitry to get the built-in AVR microcontroller running. The output or inputs can be taken from the boards or given to the board using convenient connectors. Both digital and analog I/O pins are available in all Arduino boards. The arduino boards can also communicate with other devices using standard communication ports like USART, IIC, and USB etc. In this project a GSM module is interfaced with the Arduino board using the USART communication port. A PS2 keyboard is also interfaced with the Arduino board with the help of normal I/O pins. The keyboard can be used to type an SMS and the number to which the SMS needs to be send and the Arduino board will make the GSM module to perform the task.
This particular project demonstrates how to interface a GSM module and send SMS to other mobile numbers using an Arduino board. The AVR microcontroller boards which are provided with all the basic circuitry for the operation of the microcontroller which has been flashed with the Arduino boot-loader are called Arduino boards. The Arduino IDE is so simple to use that anyone who has basic knowledge of c programming can quickly get started with it. The project on how to get started with the Arduino explains about the steps required to get start with an Arduino board. The Arduino can communicate with the other devices using its digital I/O, serial port, I2C port, SPI port etc. and in this project the GSM module is interfaced using the serial port of the Arduino board. . The advantage of using a GSM communication with a system or device is that the user can control the system wirelessly.

The Global System for Mobile (GSM) communication is the Second Generation of mobile technology. Although the world is moving towards Third and [[wysiwyg_imageupload::]]Fourth generation but GSM has been the most successful and widespread technology in the communication sector. GSM technology paved a new way for mobile communication.This project explains the interfacing of a GSM Module with a PIC microcontroller. It also covers a way to dial a particular GSM mobile number as well as send a message to it using AT Commands with the help of PIC18F4550.As explained earlier (refer GSM interfacing with 8051), a line converter MAX232 is employed to convert the RS232 logic data of GSM Module to TTL logic so that it can be processed by the microcontroller. In this project, instead of RS232 logic data, TTL logic output has been taken and thus PIC18F4550 has been directly connected with GSM Modem without any line converter in between.
